Gravity Free Exhibit Design Conference
Client: Exhibitor Publications
An entire site conception and design was developed for this conference whose marketing was almost solely through the web. Key words for the inagural conference included: inspiration, innovation, and liberation. Visit the site
AEIOMed Inc.
Client: Exhibitor Publications
A print re-design was done and now it was time for the web to make a consistent change. In addition to the graphic and search-engine optimization changes, the site was simple enough and packaged with training for future content editors. Visit the site
EXHIBITOR Online
Client: Exhibitor Publications
Creating, maintaining, monitoring and 20,000 web pages isn't any simple task, but with ExhibitorOnline.com it was a reality. As editor of the Exhibitor News Network, I edited and updated the news often on a daily basis and kept the site sticky enough to try to bring users back on daily basis. With so many offerings in the company, the biggest challenge was making all facets available, yet keeping the site simple enough to navigate. Visit the site
Latreia - Serving God, Serving Community
Client: Latreia, Inc.
Latreia wanted a fun look that hit their target market (16-30 year-olds) and yet kept the professional look they needed to reach investors. My main goal was to make a site that was both impressive and still simple enough for the staff of Latreia to update with a bit of training. To do this, I made the navigation text-based, made the pages fluid and easy to create, and created a web-based database structure so they could update the new service database from anywhere they might be. I also integrated blog software for their service teams and gave them the initial "look" they were looking for in not only a web design, but a company design. Visit the site
Exhibit Design Awards 20th anniversary
Client: Exhibitor Publications
For the 20th anniversary of the Exhibit Design Awards, Exhibitor Magazine was looking for something different and fun. We accomplished this task with a look very different from the Exhibitor Online site. I created a standards-based site largely powered with CSS. We added "fun" with an online quiz for our users to page through and vote for the best exhibit design of the past 20 years. Visit the site
Open a World of Possibility - Let's Explore Africa
Client: World Hunger Appeal - Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
As an intern for the ELCA World Hunger Appeal, my main project was to create a fun and creative site as an addendum to a print version of the Open a World of Possibility annual children's program. Africa was the theme of this program, so I created a fun and interactive site that was aimed at children in the age group of 10-14 years-old. Visit the site
EXHIBITOR Fasttrak Conferences
Client: Exhibitor Publications
We wanted to simplify the FastTrak site to make it easy for those interested to find information and easy for those ready to register. I simplified the look of the site to match the "big" look of the brochure and simplify the design for printing. Additionally, I helped to integrate the dynamic content of the conference sessions to appear and disappear based upon availability. The company believed a better visibility from the web site, e-mail communication, and a venue change helped to increase registrants by as much as 30 percent from the stagnant past five years. EXHIBITOR2007 - The National Conference and Exhibiton for Trade Show for Corporate Event Marketing
Client: Exhibitor Shows
The work on this site was immense and ongoing. Resources for speakers, exhibitors, partners, media and attendees had to coordinated on a careful schedule. I was a part of this team and handled almost all of the visual parts of the web site and eventually a bit of the database upkeep as well. I also spent several weeks work on compiling and editing video for the web. I created a video editing studio, found the best conversion for the web and edited video clips for spots on the 2006 site. This brought our best case studies to everyone's office and homes.
Corporate EVENT Awards
Client: Corporate EVENT Magazine
The Corporate Event Awards site was a call for entries site that was created as an alternative to the Exhibitor Online "look". A professional, yet appealing look was the goal as well as a clear way to highlight our well-known industry judges. Visit the site
Corporate EVENT Magazine
Client: Exhibitor Publications
Along with the birth of a new magazine, came the birth of a new set of style rules for an online edition of the magazine. I created an entirely new style sheet with less reliance on tables and a new fluidity that wasn't available in Exhibitor Magazine's online presence. Visit the site
Certified Trade Show Marketer - CTSM
Client: Exhibitor Shows
The CTSM site was one that didn't need a re-design as much as a re-working. I made the site consistent in its look and helped to create new resources for the growing amount of CTSM graduates and candidates. This included low-res PDFs of portfolio examples, several new online forms, and a consistent photo headshot standard for endorsements and graduates. Visit the site
Exhibitor Show 2005
Client: Exhibitor Shows
One of my first projects for Exhibitor was re-working the Exhibitor Show site. This included a new marketing angle pushing the great feedback we had been getting from our customers and an increased and targeted email marketing campaign.
Exhibitor Magazine
Client: Exhibitor Publications
EXHIBITOR Magazine is available online in its entirely and has several online-only elements including interactive monthly quizzes. The biggest challenge was a format change from print magazine to online and how to deliver content cleanly and with the advantages of the web. Visit the site
Wartburg Career Center; Business Administration Department; Viewbook; Campaign Wartburg
Client: Wartburg College
As an undergrad, I maintained a site with over 20,000 Web pages, sometimes alone, for almost two years as we were in transition for hiring a full-time webmaster/web designer. As a result, I was called upon to create some of the college's biggest sites including the annual viewbook, Career Services department, the Business Administration Department, Communication Arts department, and an $88 million endowment fundraising campaign.
International Lutheran Church, Seoul
Client: International Lutheran Church, Seoul
Scheduled for an August 2007 deadline, this small church in central Seoul is in need of a way to update their site on a weekly basis with fresh content. I am currently building a site and training to hand off to them in August when I leave South Korea.
